  Moles - How do I murder them? Will you be an accessory?

  i speak of the furry kind that burrow under my yard and destroy it.

  this year in our area they were terrible.

  i do not lie when i state that nearly every square foot of my front lawn was tunnelled this summer, some of it three and four times after i pressed down the tunnels with my feet and mower.

  Problem: Moles that destroy the garden by digging extensive tunnel networks.

  Solution 1: To use human hair as an effective deterrent for moles, place small clusters in the moles' holes.
  Solution 2: Like rabbits, moles will avoid garlic cloves, mothballs or commercial repellents. Placing any one of these items (or a combination of several) in the garden will generally take care of a mole problem.

  I have to be honest with ya though. While I'm a huge fan of trying to "save" the "poor critters"....four little words mean a lot right now....

  Hm well I figure like this:

  Either way it doesn't matter to me. IF there is a God, the God I imagine, wants us to love our neighbor and to be kind and to be peaceful. That would be our worship, so to speak. I don't think he gives a flying you know what about the details that many people worry about.

  If there isn't a God, how can just loving our neighbor and working for peace and understanding and compassion be a bad thing?

  I think the key word (that I learned the hard way) is:

  Work. Action. Moving.

  Not just sitting there waiting for someone else to take care of things.

  If there's a God, I think he or SHE would be pretty happy with a person who works towards love and peace and well etc etc.

  If there isn't a God, then damn, the more we work towards these things as a global community, maybe, just maybe in some far off century we will have acheived it.
  And maybe I won't be looking down from heaven, but right now I can be aware of the fact that I am doing my part as a global citizen.

  Anyone have experiences with "Prepaid Legal" services" ?

  hmmm I know someone that tried to get me to sell it....she said she made some cash and also that it had indeed come in handy.

  I can't find the information she gave me...but I was surprised that it seemed fairly legit, didn't seem a scam....

  Around here what they do is hire top lawyers to give so much of their time for x amount of dollars. And those are the lawyers you deal with. It doesn't mean that you will have everything paid for, from what I gather, it does allow you a few phone calls in the case you are needing some quick advice.

  what has been your personal experience?.

  consider the impressionable mind of the infant.. is it fair to indoctrinate them with dogma?.

  If it's based on fairie tales presented as truth that must be followed or else, yes. And isn't that the case with all religion?

  You, imho, hit the nail on the head.

  Religion itself Might not be such a problem if it weren't for the FEAR that is employed.

  Perhaps, though, if we took out the "or else" factor, what we would have is just a philosophy.

  over the past few days... someone who i'm no longer associated with has been out on vendetta to discredit me.

  it started with a mass mail to my myspace friends, which caused nothing more than a few eyebrows to be raised.

  that was the reaction of people who know me in real life.
